2009 Fe450e or Fe570e?

I'm thinking IF the Husaberg/KTM gods were to be so kind as make the 2009 models street legal here in California, then I will have to buy the Fe570e. A street legal Fe570e would be the Ticket in paradise.

But, if the bikes are dirt only then a Fe450e would be my choice as I ride woods mostly, but no I would miss my 550 mo better power..I can only afford one bike at a time so I would pass on the new bikes and keep my 06 Fe550e for a few more years.

hey HUSABERG - make the 2009 bikes street legal and you got a sale>!

what about the rest of you, who's up for the 450? who wants the 570? why?

We can always dream about street legal Bergs! A street legal FE570e would be my cup of tea.

Why ???????????

well the current FE650 is the best out there and it has about 60rwhp and the Berg R&D boys are saying the new 570 will have about 10hp more 8O 8O

So that makes it about 70rwhp in a 112kg package that handles as lightly as a 250EXC-F

its a no brainer

I know first hand that KTM NA wants to make the 09 Berg street legal in NA, but they are having issues designing a double walled gas tank which is required for EPA standards.

If they can get the tanks sorted out, the 09s will be street legal in NA.

I too want the f.i. 570. But my '06 450 still rips(to me). Maybe my wife will get my 450 so I can get the 570...heheheh

Move to Arizona.....you can plate anything. Go to the right places and they won't even look at the vehicle.

Enjoy it while it lasts as Californication has a way of spreading to a State near you. Hopefully Husaberg will get the Bikes California street emissions legal at some point. Euro III standards are already more stringent than the California standards, so unless the Bergs will be predominantly marketed as a closed course bike there is a huge incentive to get them compliant. The new BMW 450 will be Euro III compliant so the competition is a knockin' already.
