Had to pull my 2010 Fe570 engine the other day (don't ask!!) and took a few notes. Thought this might help sombody if they ever have to do it. Should be able to do it in 2 hrs or less now start to finish.
Hope you never need it!!

2009/10 FE engine removal

Drain oil and coolant
Remove muffler
Remove seat
Disconnect battery
Remove top subframe
Removes top bolt on plastic subframe and loosen bottom 2 bolts(no need to remove plastic subframe, just need to pivot)
Remove tank/ shrouds
Remover front header pipe
Remove 2 top engine mounts
Remove mid header shield
Remove shock
Remove mid pipe. It will come out and the little bit of movement in the subframe is enough to let it come out. Just keep trying!!
Remove rear wheel
Removes rear brake lever and pull the master cylinder as well
Remove the counter sprocket cover
Remove hydlulic clutch and swing over frame
Remove starter cable
Unplug coil/ ignition wires
Undo earth wires, by top rear engine mount
Remove gear lever
Remove swingarm and chain
Remove front rad hose that goes across engine
Remove L/H rad bolts but leave rads there. This is just to give you a little more movement
Remove front top mount nuts. You can only get some of the bolts out but that does not matter
Undo the bottom hose clamp on the injecter body, clamp closest to the head, as well as the breather hoses. The throttle body and air filter body will lift up enough from there
Remove the bottom engine mount bolt and spacers
Think that’s it
Remove the engine. Should come out!!!
I may have missed somthing?? let me know
Install in reverse order or close to!!

Sorry to hear your engine failed. This is the second time after you originally replaced the crank?
I know you said not to ask but I would really like to know what failed?
Good write up you did.
Regards,
Dave.

I heard about failure of the valve springs disks/stoppers.
I did not hear any recall about this issue.
Any ideas?
