With the standard shock spring, have members found a shock rebound setting they prefer to the standard rebound setting.

With everything else set to where it's suppose to be, 2 or 3 clicks either side of the standard setting should work best.

I was never happy with the rebound adjuster at any setting with stock valving

so .... no

I have followed the Doc by drilling two holes in the front fork bottoming cones, and that made a huge benefit for me and left the flexibility for firming things up if need be. I am focusing on the shock. I run just a bit more static sag than recomended to deal with the PDS kick from too much preload, but the shock is not ideal although much much better than previous PDS.

I hate to say it but the Ohlin twin shock on the 1983 Husqvarna is better suspesion. Sorry.

hey don't need to be sorry its not your fault

blame WP :D

I love ohlins

if you can get hold of the shock out of an 08 KTM 85SX it should fit right in the 08 berg, same overall length and similar ends, insides are ohlins copy, 1 1/2 piston design very very nice shocks.

yes an 08 85 SX, i lowered it 50mm and did some other mods to the hydraulics

the shock measured right between centres, the upper and lower mounts take the same bolts. only issue would perhaps be the lower mount not being quite long enough but it looked really really close.

now I wish I had of tried it for fit in my spare husaberg swingarm.

I think the shocks are the same from 06 up but you'd have to check.

husqy 510 on ktm talk converted his 2 piston WP to a 1 1/2 piston design, hes posted some pics too.

after much tinkering over the last 2 years though I think the major limiting factor with handling on the husaberg is the chassis.
