Hi, I'm new to the forums and have been doing a lot of reading on the wiki and other user threads.
I'm currently in the process of deciding if the 08 FE550 will be a good buy or not. It has around 11000km or 295HR on the engine. The seller says he doesn't know if it has had any rebuilds done to it so I'm going to assume no everything stock. seller says she Runs strong with no problems.
My main concerns are, am i gonna have to rebuild this engine soon? only the top end or will the bottom end require a rebuild also? I come from a DRZ400 back ground and i have some experience in rebuilding top ends only.
Reliability wise, I intend to ride this bike 60%street 40% off-road. How will this bike fair being used daily? I intend to put 8000km on the bike per year.
Owe and the bike will cost me between $2500-3000.
