So, my riding trajectory is heading in a bit of a different vector, and my beloved Husaberg is for sale. Some of you know and recognize this bike, but for those that don't, here goes.
For sale is an absolutely mint example of a rare thoroughbred motorcycle. Very few street legal models of the Husaberg FE line made into the country, and this among the cleanest, most desirable example in all of Canada.
I purchased this bike 4 years ago, and did a complete tear-down and restoration two years ago. From a total bare frame (inspected, welds enhanced, sandblasted, and powdercoated) up rebuild, all major systems were either reconditioned, or in most cases, replaced. Finished product is a restored example adapted to longer-distance travel for either multi-day adventure riding deep in the backcountry, or even as a rally bike application.
Just a sample of the systems that were rebuilt:
clutch: brand new master, slave, clutch, and all new lines, and all new plates/steels/clutch springs.
brakes: fully rebuilt front and rear, brand new braided steel lines, all new rotors, pads, and speedo pickup
electrical: completely redesigned and weather-hardened wiring harness, with 3 separate switched circuits (ignition, lighting, and auxiliary power for accessories - tied to a fuseblock, resulting in foolproof and easy-to-troubleshoot reliability for years. New ignition coil and relay, and all new LED lighting, including twin crazy-bright Baja Designs Squadron lights for standard and long beam. Upgraded stator and regulator / rectifier.
drivetrain - all new OEM sprocket set and DID Gold chain, and every bearing (steering, suspension, wheels, etc.) replaced. Tires (Pirelli Scorpion Rally Pro) have roughly 50% life remaining.
frame/controls - as stated, completely restored and powdercoated. All new guards and mounting hardware, and new Renthal Fat bars and Acerbis handguards. Every single plastic item - aesthetic or guard, has been replaced. Tail plastic is black, and is wrapped in black vinyl for protection, and tastefully trimmed with the matching blue "legacy" Husaberg markings and accents.
Big "extra" here is a custom built tower for holding lights, electrical hardware, and for mounting an authentic KTM RFR rally fairing. Provides excellent wind protection, but doesn't get in the way while riding technical terrain.
Engine tested for both compression and leakdown. Oil changes done at every 10 hour , and valves checked and adjusted at every 50 hours. Full synthetic oil used consistently, and always run 94 premium octane gas. Common problem with these bikes of leaking water pump weep hole was corrected with upgraded shaft seal. While engine was apart, replaced sprague gear on kickstarter.
Bike comes with the rare oversize tank, and the super-rare underseat auxiliary tank - hundreds of km of range, depending on terrain and riding style.
One of the aspects this bike excels at is suspension - KTM's race-grade WP/PDS components - professionally resprung, revalved by RMR Suspensions.
In addition, sale includes extensive inventory of OEM takeoffs and/or spares - not an exhaustive list, just a few highlights:
OEM 10L fuel tank
Enduro Mask/lights
Original/spare main rear plastic
OEM springs included
Spare clutch components (plates, steels, slave/master cylinders)
Spare oil and air filter
Spare spark plugs
Special custom made tools to simplify valve check/adjustment
Bike has been used both on- and off-road (30/70) adventure travel - never dropped on street, nor taken hard hits offroad. Has 23.8K km and 448H on the clock.
Has lots of life remaining as a light adventure travel platform, and parts are still readily accessible from local and online sources (eg: KTM dealerships for suspension/clutch systems, International Motorsports for Husaberg components, and online retailers such as AOMC, Taffmeister's, etc.) Active global community on both advrider.com and husaberg.org Am including a full factory manual and mechanic's manual - 150 pages of complete parts and instructions, including wiring diagrams in a binder.
Please note - pictures show a few items that are not included - GPS, mounted phone, and Scotts steering damper are not included. The Scotts steering damper submount and associated pin support, however, are included, as are the RAM mounts bolted to the fairing tower.
Price: $6,800.
Serious inquiries only - please pm and we'll pick up via phone or text thereafter. Located in BC Lower Mainland - please arrange own pick up.
