2008 450: rattle noise from clutch?

Hi all.

While in 6 gear cruising notice metallic rattle from motor. Pull clutch lever to point of clutch disengagement and noise stops......let lever out to point of engagement or further and noise returns. Notice it while cruising in 5th or 6th gear....probably because higher speed. Has been doing this for a while but don't recall always doing it. Appears to have something to do with clutch not the rest of the motor.

Anyone else experience this? Is this usual or does a bearing etc need replacing?

Any replies will be appreciated.....regards FE600racer.

sounds the same as mine except that mine is at idle mainly and have found it to be most possibly the clutch basket rubber dampers.

Thanks Pedro 9680. I don't think my model has the rubber dampers?.....but Utube shows KTM clutch rattle caused by a range of things like the basket rattling back and fourth....loose nut etc. Taffy has noted the clutch design changed a few times...but that seems to be about the squeal noise when clutch slipped. Any other input?
