Check out these first pics of the 07 Bergs. Fryguy, Watt and I took those beautiful black motards for a good rip yesterday afternoon. We all had pretty big grins on our faces when we took our helmets off.

Watt and I will ride all the FEs today to break them in and get familiar with the loop that the dealers will ride tomorrow & Sunday. More to follow.

Hey, it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it! Right?

Kind of lukewarm on the 07 red flame color scheme but hey, you can always peel it off.

How about some FS and FE action photos.

I wish I was going to Oregon. :(

Dont frett any about not being there. Its not any fun riding new bikes that you dont have to worry about scratchin up, plus you dint have a $300 bar bill afterward. :)

I have added a bunch more pictures. There are some action shots that are supposed to be emailed to me from one of the riders that I will post later.

Cheers

Any comments from the people that rode the 380?

I thought it was a wicked ride. Much like a onetwofive or 200 2 smoke compared to a 250. It felt very flickable and I think that alot of riders could ride it harder and longer than the bigger bikes. I'm not sure that we had the jetting spot on but it would not take long to get it dialed. I was definitely encouraging people to take it for a rip. The feedback from the folks that rode it seemed pretty positive. Tell us what you thought about it.

380

Just about have my fc450 turned into a 6 speed 380
let you know how it goes

RE: 380

We actually took home the 380 demo from the dealer meeting and we are planning a demo day soon...this should go over really good in our tight twisties...I know I thoroughly enjoyed it...It definately seemed you could go faster for longer periods of time...however, my "fast" is probably more like most people's "slow"

In the sea of orange, red, blue and yellow 450s, I think Berg should be going after the niche market and offer the 380 and the 496 as production models, not kits that cost the buyer more money.

I think that FE380s would sell like hotcakes as a lot of guys find a 450 too much and a 250 too weak. It would be at the top of my bike list if I could buy it out of the crate.

Scott you are so hitting the nail on the head look at how long the XR400 hung around being air cooled i really believe that there is a huge market for a mid sized thumper i know i would buy one as well

A couple of weeks ago I rode with 4 guys on xr400 and exc400's (and a crf270x). They claimed that the 450 sized bikes were too aggressive for woods use, and they prefered the milder 400s.

i love my 450 in the tight stuff. now thats not to say that i wouldn't like a 380! my last bike was KTM 300 and i much prefer this (06 FE 450) over the orange machine. the only time i notice the wieght difference is when i drop it and have to pick it up. i solved that by crashing less :D
