Hi from Estonia !
I was riding off road and suddenly i noticed that when i pull clutch in or stop, the idle is very low and eventually dies. Started up good and after some revving it sometimes stays on good rpm but after some more revving or riding it still wants to die on idle. No bogging on fast throttle and basically on the move its perfect. But on the speed when closing the throttle it will bang loud from exhaust (not the usual softer exhaust popping on deceleration). On some short moments it was ok (no loud bangs and normal idle).
So i guess mixture gets lean on off throttle? Ok- cleaned the carb (compressed air), valve clearance ok, rubber boots ok and tight.
Took off the whole valve cover to check valve springs- ok.
Spark plug looks nice. O-ring on throttle valve plate maybe bit worn.
After assembling i had to set idle adjusting screw almost all in to get it start and idle (before it started good although weak idle) . Now when bike is idling and i rev it a bit it wont fall immediately to idle and when i rev it bit harder then it stays on high rpm (maybe thats a moment when it sorta works but now idle speed screw is off). If anything its worse. Mixture screw was 2 turns open. I have not done any tuning on carb nor bike so carb settings are like i bought it. Problem started suddenly. I have owned the bike 4 years and has running strong all time. It has 205 hours on it. Numbers in jets are as follows: 100, 200, 85, 195, 48. Needle: OBDVR on 4th from bottom. Cleaned carb once more and no improvement. Now carb again apart and soaked in motorex carb cleaner for the nigth.
In meanwhile any ideas?
