2007 550 Rev Limiter?

Before I start this thing up and go for a break in run on my fresh rebuild.

I'd like to know what the rev limiter is set at, so I can try to avoid hitting it.

I can't find a single mention of it in the manual, and can't find any info online about it either.
 
That's weird.

What's the recommended limit?

My Husky revs to 8250, and it's built quite a bit heavier in all aspects, but the piston is 98mm.

Maybe the engine quit because the previous owner did too many wheelies that weren't at balance point :p

Did it eat a set of SKF mains ?

As a limit depends how long you want it to last

Keep in under 8500 and it will last nearly forever I promise. Lol

It ate an NTN race with an SKF roller... cylinder liner, piston.... wasn't pretty.

Will keep it under 8250 like the Husky then :)
