2006 taillight/fender extension fits on 2005?

for the time being i pulled the fender extension/taillight mount off my fe550, since it makes the bike look like a drz, but eventually i'll ned to mount a license plate on there. the 06 version seems much tidier. will it fit?

yes it does! I pulled mine of of my 04 and threw on the 06... Looks much better, but i can't see a plate fitting very well on it....

Velosapiens, I did the same as risky1, be sure to get the whole assem. as the guts are different for 06 vs 04,05. And yes it does look way better, with some planning and some tin-snips you can get a plate to fit goodluck.

The plate will fit fine on the fender... I bought one of these, (scroll to the second to last item in the list).

It bolt to the extension on the three holes that are on the extension, look underneath at the three indents... Then you bolt the plate on the plastic holder. It will look like

I have an E-Line dual sport kit on my 2001, if you take a look at my gallery, you should see it.

It looks very nice (much nicer than the Baja Designs equivalent), has all the accessories to make it street legal in most states (at least Nevada and Arizona): front and rear break switches, hi/lo beam, blinkers and a tooter, plus all the mandatory reflectors and off course the plate holder.

It does work well with the Husaberg. Bobzilla installed it (my bike is his former bike) and you can ask him for more installation details I suppose.

The LED tail lamp that I show in the picture mounts to the '06 fender using the mounting holes that the OEM plastic lens uses. The you can purchase the LED with or without a delron block that they make to mount the light to. If you're putting on for the first time then buy it with the block, if you're replacing it then you can buy just the LED lamp.

Just purchased it last night. I have bought the same light w/ the drop down fender for my last 3 bikes (LEDs ROCK!), but the burg...it's got a weird shape to the rear fender and I like it!

Maybe one day when I'm "finished" with my berg projects I'll post a pic.

I just added the 06 fender extension and taillight to my 02 and it looks fantastic! It came with a wiring harness that won't work for my old bike but I was able to re-use the factory 02 wiring and light bulb socket. One day I may opt for the cool LED.
