2006 FS650C Converted, eats regulators

Ordered a FS 650E, and the C model was delivered to the dealer, and they said they would get all of the OEM parts to make it road legal, and its quite a pain in the *** to do, due to the title issues.
The good news was I got it all done, lights, tires, directionals, fan and so on.
The bad news was they never ordered a regulator, and when I started it, the A/C voltage fried a lot of bulbs. (35 volts A/C) I order the regulator, installed it, and along with new lights, all was good.
I rode it casual for one season, and I gotta say it's an animal. I had a lot of trouble with the brake light bulb filament blowing, and went with a LED style bulb. This didn't work for very long either, but it was soon parked for the winter.
Now that spring came, I fired it up, and metered for the tail light (Brake light also) and found that I have 10 volts A/C. Purchased another regulator, and it again was fixed. This one lasted about 5 to 10 minutes, again only 10 volts A/C, and no D/C volts...Any ideas?

Got you guys stumped on this one!!!
I printed out the electrical troubleshooting chapter, and followed it from the first step, which was checking the system for a draw.
The next step was to check ALL connections. I'm sure many skip this step, but guess what...found the greenies (corrosion) on a couple connections behind the headlight. Cleaned them, and use dialectric grease on ALL. Problem solved. Husabergs (Hindenburg's) don't like to drip dry.
