2005 Husaberg FS 650 E go or no go?

Hello,

I just came across this Husaberg http://www.moto.it/usato/usato03.asp?EID=1793741 .
It is 2005 FS 650 E (not FE, 06 as it says) and only has 3000km. Can you guys give me some advice if I should go for it or not.

Thank you very much,
Urban

I'm liking it more and more, can you tell me what to pay attention to when the bike is actuality in front of me.

Thank you,
Urban

RE: Re: 2005 Husaberg FS 650 E go or no go?

I cant tell from the advert mate as i can only read english BUT i'd be making sure the oil changes were strictly followed and listening for any abnormal noises (knocking etc). Also if it has been serviced make sure he has receipts to back this up. I wouldnt worry about plastics too much, concentrate on whether the engine is in good condition !
Other than that my knowledge is fairly limited. I'd suggest using the search function at the top of the page and having a browse around this site for any issues people have mentioned. Also check 'Owners Doc' on the left hand side, there is some good info in there about common problems etc. hope this helps

My first thoughts are, not original tyres so would be suspicious as to the 3000km claim, or it has been ridden very hard to wear them both out in that distance.
I have an 05 and like it very much.
As with all Husabergs expect to have to spend money on it.

Cheers spanner

Are you kidding! my pirelli scorpion wore out in 800kays!

I am verry happy with my '05 model 550, and am buying another one for my Bro in-law, I only wish I had the 06-08 tank and shrouds, makes me jelous every time I see them.

Too many burnouts I would think!

Original tyres are Michelin Polits.

The back one should last around 3000km but the font should last a bit longer than that I would have thought.

Road use I am talking about.

Cheers,

Ahh, sorry guys, i am open to a publicc rollocking, I was still reading it as an FE - not FS, im talking knobbies, you guys are talking bitto (bitumen) tyres.

Azza.

Starter clutch (aka gear wheel torque limiter) replaced under warranty?

Counter-Balancer updated to post 06 design?

Other than those two parts items the 05 bikes are good kit.

Hello, because I don't quiet get your post can ypu please explain if you see this 2 parts (Starter clutch and counter balancer) replaced on the bike?

Also SuperTireGuy how do you ride your Berg (hard on the street, racing?) because I saw your maintenance schedule.

Thank you

My 05 FE650 sure looks good in FS trim. You gotta love the graphics and colors. Anyway, around 82 hours here, frequent oil changes and just a little weep from the hole. No problems with the mote so far. Good choice on this year and model.
