I'm a n00b and just found an '05 FS650E that I would really like to buy. Problem is that the squid that has it, dumped it on the left side. Sheared the clutch cover off, broke what looks like to be the water pump cover off and put a big hole on the left side of the case that connects to the clutch cover. I have no idea the specific name for it, other than it looks like the left side of the engine case. That being said..
I have searched and searched for parts (specific to 2005) online for a few days now to no avail. I really do not mind rebuilding the bike, as long as I can find the parts. I'm looking to rebuild it this winter, if possible. I live in Colorado Springs and don't plan on taking it out in the winter, it will just be worked on in the basement.
I've always liked these bikes but never had a real chance to have one. Now that I do, I am unable to find the applicable parts. Are there any sites out there that stock anything like this? I'm honestly at a loss since every place I search doesn't stock hardly any parts for this year/model. I know the 2004 model engine is different than the 2005 from what I have read. Are there compatible parts for a 2006? 07?
