Re: Coffin's 2005 FE550 Ride Report

Hey coffin, That is exactly the reason why I had mine (bash guard) installed before it left the shop! I feel your pain... I am just glad the most serious thing I did to mine in the first 4 hours was dent the radiator... Plastic is realitivly cheap and easily replaceable, but clutch covers! OUCH!

Like I told My wife , we bought them to RIDE!

hope your back on it soon.

Re: Coffin's 2005 FE550 Ride Report

Hi Coffin you wont hurt the studs or the tire using them in the woods.
Studs are made out of carbide and are extremely tough there is a
special made tire/stud for racing on ice they are called Finndubb
so long

Re: Coffin's 2005 FE550 Ride Report

Sorry Coffin,
If i would have told you to use the pencil method, you could still be in your garage trying to fish the broken end of it out and you would have avoided all that expensive damage! :D

Re: Coffin's 2005 FE550 Ride Report

I'm just glad that the epoxy held up and enough oil stayed in the engine that that I did not ruin the motor.

Anyone in the market for slightly used 2005, inner & outter clutch covers! :D
