Hello,
I need some input on how to replace a broken tappet screw. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Is there an easy way or do I have to pull the head?

you don't need to pull the head. you don't even need to pull the rocker cover!

just remove the tiny allen bolt in the black end cap, then the vertical bolt that goes down through the black end cap. remove the black end cap with a reverse puller and if you don't have one whack the rocker arm sideways to get at least 1mm of the cap out and then put an M5 bolt in and pull hard with pliers etc.

the way to remove the screw is to chop the end off above the rocker arm, chop it off down to the arm. then rip the pad off and then hold the dome ended part HARD in the vice and turn the rocker arm ACW (yanks=CCW).

you're a lucky boy....

Sorry, I meant the valve cover, not the head. What happened was went to adjust valves, adjusted three, went to do fourth exhaust valve and adjuster screw was snapped. Foot was broke off lying in the valve cover. ordered two new ones from taff. can't put in from top because of foot pads on screw. Waiting on the screws. So Thanks Taffy, I appreciate you, I will check it out when I get the screws. Lance

well i trust the valve stem isn't beaten up?

just remove the rocker arm as said above. chop the thread off right where it comes out underneath, don't leave more than 0.5mm showing. then just stick the top in the vice and turn the rocker arm.

"same difference" as we used to say!
