2005 fe 650 vs 2006

Hello All,

I have been doing so much street with the FE450 I am seriously considering a fe 650 for street and set the 2006 fe 450 back to dirt.

I see a big difference between pricing on Husabergs pre 2006. Is there a big difference between model years?

Will my springs on my 2006 fe450 that I have set up for street and my 300 lbs fit a 2005 fe 650?

I am pretty sure, it is a yes on the springs. There are some minor differences between the two years, enough to offset the higher cost of the 06 vs the 05 ? in my mind no, but others may have a differnt opinion, I can't remember specifcally what the differences are. basically the pricing differnce is due to the fact that dealers may still have some 05's taking up floorspace and need to move them, a now almost 4 model year old bike is not potential profit, it is costing the dealer money every day...

I am not sure on this but wasn't 06 the year the updated balancer was introduced..

Also, I believe that '06 was the first year for compatibility with the optional OEM fan.
