Hi guys!

Clutch related question for you.

There is 7 steel disks and 8 clutch disks. The repair manual says, that you have to install first one of the steel disks then clutch disk and so on.... Okey, no problem there. BUT one of the clutch disks have only friction material on the one side, and the other side is blank steel(Should it be that way?). Where the heck should i install that disk?

Thank you!

ps. Tried to check all the repair and sparepart manuals without luck.

it is 8 steels and 7 frictions that you should have. start with a steel and finish with a steel. you should not have a half and half plate!

My bad, yes 8 steel and 7 friction plates. Its odd that one of the plates has lost all the friction material on the other side. All the other plates seems OK. What could cause this? The plate has been like that for a while because its bright silver color on the back. Thats why i didnt realize the wear right away. Worked just fine though... Hope nothing has broken. All the steel plates are allso ihan good condition. No big wear to be found.

Maybe Taffy knows why the friction material has wear off so quickly from the plate ?

maybe the friction was accidentally put on the outside once. probably against the pressure plate?

now don't do it again Juhiss!

Taffy
