Heya,
i have noticed that my 2004 FE450e drains the battery while riding. it only happens with the headlight turned on. Basically i'll ride for about an hour and then notice my headlight dimming a bit and also my indicators being extremely dim. E-start also stops working. I then ride a bit more with my headlight turned off (real bummer in the evenings). After a bit of that the headlight will turn on fine again and all the electricals have enough power. The 150W generator in the FE should be plenty for the whole system, no? especially considering that i'm running LED indicators. Any hints on what it could be? I'll probe the generator for resistances later today.
Could it be the Rectifier? I am running all my lights off of the rectified 12V instead of right from the coil as the original wiring diagram plans. May need to upgrade the rectifier?
