Can anyone tell me if the tripmaster switch (three wires/buttons) will work on a recent KTM exc type speedo - I dont know what speedos were on the earlier Berg enduro bikes.
If yes, I'll say that they do. I just replaced mine with a Trailtech Vapor and noticed that OEM speedo had both HUSABERG and KTM part numbers printet on it...
The switches are the same for KTM or Husaberg only the connector plugs are a different size from the 2004 to 2005. You could cut the wires and make it work by joining with your own connectors, the earlier 2004 larger speedo is good for rallies used as a tripmeter as the numerals are bigger when you run it in competion mode. The cable for the later 2005 was good as it had a joiner connection down the bottom and allowed for quicker removal.
To run either of these digital speedos in competion mode you need unplug from the main power supply and to run from the little battery in the back of the unit.
Its illegal in Australia to run without the speedometer visible at all times but you can trick the system by cutting one wire in the loom and a trip meter can be visible instead.

Going a bit further into this, can anyone supply me the wiring codes (eg: Blue = common, green = mode, purple =up, etc) for the switches? Want to make my own ones...
Many thanks
