Im missing the Regulator/rectifier..

Read a post here that a Trail tech regulator/rectifier with 150watt would fit, then i read something about "floating ground" on trail tech that made me confused!

anyway, is it possible to use this one: https://www.trailtech.net/7004-rr150 ...

I used this in my build.
I changed my original wiring loom over to run all 3 phases of my stator into this one rectifier unit and then run the 12v out of this to my battery. All my systems now run from the battery. Seems a much better way to wire it, no dim lights on idle etc.
This unit worked perfect for me.

Tnx,, what year is your bike? And what did you change to make this work?

The 2003 looks different than rest of the years... 5 wires, 3 yellow, direct swap? *see pic*

Mine is a 01 fe650. Mine was different to your diagram and I converted my bike to work more like your already does.
I ran this part as a direct replacement. The 5 wire version will take all 3 yellow cables from stator at 3 phases, then output that as a 12v just like your wiring diagram.
The only other changes I made was to run my 12v output from ny new rectifier, directly to charge my battery, and then I run all my 12v systems, (lights, horn starter etc) all direct from the battery. It's gives a more stable voltage rather this way and current draw is on the battery not that stator, so hopefully my stator gets a easier life too.
I relocated my rectifier under the seat to, along side my starter relay.
I'll try and find a pic
