2003 501 Muffler/spark arrestor

Hi, my name is Torben and I am new to the Husaberg crowd! I have a 2003 501 and absolutely think it's a great bike! I do need to find a muffler/spark arrestor for it?? I tried all the usual places( aftermarket companies) and NO one can help......does anyone here know where i can get one? I have a regular non-sparkarrestor now!

That was quick...thanks....does anyone make a complete muffler or exhaust? I saw on the Husaberg site under "force parts" there is something from Akrapovic?? But i called them and they said NO! Whats up with that?
 
are you sure you dont already have a spark arrestor?the akrapovic is only avail for newer models.dan
 
If he has an FE, he must have one, as I do as well, although I do not have a USFS logo. What model do you have? Can you take a photo of the exhaust that shows the end tip?
 
A 2003 FE has a spark arrestor. It is not in the form of a grid that you can feel from the outside. But it should have one unless it was removed. FCs do not have one and if you look at Sandskipper's gallery, he install a Pro Moto model:

Someone suggested me to make my own spark arrestor with a metal screen and I am thinking, really, why not? Unless you live in California, I don't see why it would be illegal to have a homemade spark arrestor. Unless the ranger is p-ed off by your attitude...

Take a photo and show us. If you opened it (have some replacement rivets), you would certainly find the spark arrestor inside.
 
I will do so.....and i do live in califonia.....i think that end cap might work..i'll take a photo.....thanks
