hi
i have had this bike for several months ,it is the( dogs round things ) it has loads of power and everything , the only problem is ,is that it is a bit tapety! is this normal? can anyone help
thanks

I would have to say YES....Berg motors are very noisy in general. Just make sure your valves are adjusted and there is no excessive metal in the oil. You may be due for a timing chain, cam sprocket and adjuster.

you have the year where the rockers were updated. i have an '02 as well so...

i suggest that you take the rocker cover off with the bike at TDC on the compression stroke. look inside the rocker cover at the roller bearings on the end of the rocker arms. if they're a pin fit through the bearings bad news. if it looks like a pin inside a hollow dowel that's good news.

when you look at it i would remove the camchain tensioner and check for how many ratchet teeth are left.

so
rocker cover off check what follower bearing pins you have-replace if necassary.
check camchain tensioner teeth and change camchain if necassary (go to an '05 D.I.D chain. change tensioner to '05 as well.

and that should be it. check that the camwheel is not aluminium. cxhange if is.

regards

Taffy
