2002 FE470 Stator Readings

Hi Guys,

My FE470 2002 has no spark.

SEM Stator Readings are:
Black to Green = 161.9 ohms.
Black to Red = 22800 ohms.

Black to Red in the Doc says should be 3000 ohms. Mine looks really high.!
Is my Stator toast.?

they can have all kinds of whacky readings. rarely that high though. fact is though, a good 'un simply says 2700 and that's that!

Do you have the right scale ? ins't 2280 Ohm ?

Reading is 22800 ohms (22.8 kohms) as the ohm meter is on a 200kohms scale. It needs a rewind then. Cheers all.

Yes it sure does, with a reading that high you are only measuring a carbon track where it has blown. If you want it doing just drop me a line.
