Hi is it possible to do mods so that my 650 berg will start from cold with electric start.Iv heard bits abought R6 starter motor ect,I just wondered if they work.Thanks for any help Richard

Hi Richard, the simple answer is yes, you can get it to start off the button.
Have a look in the owners docs and you'll find what you're looking for.
You need the engine to be well set up to start with, and starts well on the kicker,
ie; valve clearances, up-rated auto de-comp on the cam, make sure your carb is in good nick (emulsion tube, needle etc.).
Then you're looking at an up-rated battery and possibly the starter motor.
Once you've done all that you might find the sprague bearing slips or starter clutch!
With that all done it should start on the button from cold but best to use it as a re-starter once the engine is warm.
