Hello all!
I recently picked up a 2001 fe501, and it had no wiring harness and the old stator had been removed, as it had a big chunk taken out of it. The previous owner raced it, so it had the starter motor and battery removed for weight.
I purchased this stator as a replacement:

And I've created a simple harness to try and get it to spark, as seen in my crude drawing. I have the 3 yellow wires connected to the rectifier and I'm measuring a voltage from the red and black wires when I kick the bike. I connected the red, black, and green wires to the SEM ignition module. The ignition module has 3 more wires, a red (orange?), black, and white wire. The black wire was already connected to ground, but I'm having trouble figuring out what the red/orange or the white wire should go to. I figure they went to a kill switch, but from the wiring diagrams of similar years, it looks like the red/orange wire should connect to the output of the rectifier, but I can't figure out what to connect the white wire to.
I've tried combinations of that white wire to ground, floating, and connecting it to the red/orange wire, with no success. At this point I'm not sure if it's that wiring or the ICU. I've added a diagram of my simplified wiring harness that I've got hooked up right now to try and get spark.
