looking into bying one of these i want to use it for hare and hounds and occasional green laneing, anyone here know what there like perfomance/handling wise thanx adam

Yes I do!

I had about 100 motos or 50 races however you look at it?
That bike also had about four 100 mile desert races with four GPs that have pavement and dirt, with 50 hours of fast trail use as well. At that point I missed a shift wfo and trashed third, fourth and fifth gears and had to rebuild. The piston was stil in spech and had some life left for sure. My bike required a fork revalve as it had a harsh mid stroke that had to be fixed. Other than that the bike is fine stock and was very reliable.

adam

welcome to UHE fella and hope you enjoy it here.

the bike needs the rocker assembly and camchain tensioner updating. it's all detailed in the doc. i would do the cam while you're there.

you'll find the suspension is like a pneumatic drill. it's nearly all in the valving and although the right springs helps the valving is where it's at.

again i have a massive thread on that under suspensiona dn handling if you fancy a go yourself. if not PM me.

i thin you're asking a lot to race it without going at it. that was the first year of the new engine and model and they have to be brought right up to date to get the best from them.

see how you go. at least we've opened your eyes.

with the right and EFFECTIVE work done you have a great value bike.

regards

Taffy
