Hi its my first time on this forum. I own a 2001 Husaberg fe501 which I have had for 10 years. I recently dusted the old girl off and decided to start riding again. The problem is that its very hard to start.
The button was never great so I havent worried about that but it always kicked over well however it is very hard to kick start.
These are the things I have done;
Checked spark plug
Checked that I have spark
Adjusted ignition to 1mm left of centre (as seen on a thread here)
Replaced main jet and needle, cleaned and checked carby
Once it has started it tends to run pretty well. It doesnt backfire or anything.
To get it started I usually have to drain the carby, then stuff around for a good 15 minutes kicking the crap out of it after which sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesnt. Changing my technique throughout trying all different ideas
I am considering these next steps
1. New spark plug
2. Check valves
3. Light it on fire after insuring it for more than its worth.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
