2000 model fe501, need riders opinion

g'day everyone, im real interested in getting a husaberg proberly a 2000 model fe501 (can really only afford upto a 2000 model) and was wondering what the bikes are like, ive owned a yz250 and found those bike anoying and well, not that fun to ride, i was looking for something with a bit more BALLS and that i can ride on the road aswell, so what are these bikes like, any problems with em that i should look for when buying one??? noises, sounds, things??? and i would absolutly appreciate if use could tell us personally what they go like, sorry for telling my life story here but would really appreciate the help as this will be my first 4 stroker and plus i will never be going back to a 2 stroke again

I owned FE501 '00 for two years and that was a really great bike with lots of power on low, middle and high RPMs, never lacked any power at all (at least in motocross tracks). The things you might want to check is the SEM, which is quite problematic in these models. I've changed one myself due to bad isolation from water - the gasket and the silicon did not help as uch as I thought. And also the regulation of the carburator. My bike was hard to start when i first bought it from Germany, but after some effort, changing the jetting, the bike was easy to start in all conditions - cold, hot, in the middle and even the bike started from 5-10 kick during winter when it was -20 Celsius in my country ;) share some photos after you get one ;)
