Hello guys. I am in a little chaos here trying to find a water pump impeller for my bike. Does anyone know of any place that would have it or any other bikes that the parts would fit like ktm or Husqvarna? Any help would be appreciated.
Unfortunately the Husaberg part has been discontinued. A suitable replacement is the KTM impeller from a 01-07 250-525 RFS motor.
Part number 59035055144 $3.79
I used this impeller in my 97 600 (along with a KTM cam).
It is slightly larger in diameter. To shave it down I used a bolt about 2-3 inches long with a nut on the top and bottom of the impeller to hold it securely. Placed the bolt in a drill and spun the impeller against a piece of 80 grit sandpaper until a few millimeters was removed. The KTM impeller is ever so slightly thicker but it fits just fine.
I would order a few extras as the impeller can be rather difficult to remove and the plastic damages / deforms easily. Consider the impeller a one time use item. Also order a new alignment pin and circlip retainer. Circlips are always considered one time use so get a bag of them and don't open or stretch them any farther than you have to when installing them.
Thanks to Bushmechanic for posting a PDF of the 2007 KTM RFS Parts List.
It is not only useful for the 04-08 Bergs but for the early ones as well. The KTM RFS motor was a continued development of the 89-2000 Husaberg motor. A few parts (very few) will interchange but expect modification to be required.
