This is my 2nd post about my 98 400 that I have rebuilt from ground up and I received so much great information on my first post about my timing chain that I had to try again because I cannot figure out how to set my gas tank hose back up. When I received it the rank was sitting on the bike proper but only had the mikuni square lift pump bolted on the bottom of tank. There are 3 petcock like holes on my tank and I have no clue where any of these connect except maybe 1 of them. I'm pretty sure one connects to the engine intake right by the carb because of the copper adapter that is there which I'm guessing acts as a vacuum and one goes to the carb obviously but 2hich ones and where does everything else go. Please help I am so close to having this baby running. Installed a starter and starter gear which I had to order from Germany along with most of the other parts I ordered, so I got all that working and got to the gas tank and now I'm stuck because I am getting no fuel to my carb and I tried a few different ways to hook these hoses up. If you know these husabergs then you know this gas tank is the weirdest thing I've ever came across as mechanic. Where does the petcock go along with all the other things on this tank. Please help I have a picture. Please let me know what I have wrong and where each hose goes because I'm stuck at this point. I would love to have this don3 as soon as possible so here's my phone number if I can get a text or a call 813.363.8378. Thank you guys. You husaberg guys are awesome and have helped me out a lot. Thanks Charlie

Charlie, are you a proper charlie or are you on charlie?

sentances, paragraphs, elocution. goodness me!

On the right at the lowest point you have a transfer port and that connects to the Mikuni pump at the nearest point. From the other end of the Mikuni pump you have a hose up and over the frame to another transfer port at the very rear left hand side of the tank.
Infront of that transfer port on the left is a normal fuel tap and the hose from that goes to the carb.
On the face of the Mikuni pump you have a port and the hose from that goes up to the inlet port on the head, the brass fixing you talked of.

ya, what he said, and don't go thinking you get a reserve just because the petcock says so.
