Hi Guys,

In risk of being told to read the Owners Doc. (which I have done and is great), I will ask the all to common question of 'Please help with Jetting advice' .........

My FC 400 is proving difficult to start, starts after numerous kicks on Choke and then when warmed up runs fine except for a backfire on run-down at low revs (Pilot Jet too small?). To eliminate this, the Mixture Screw needs to be out about 3+ turns !!!

Re-starting is a similar chore and requires choke again.

My existing Jetting is:
Main Jet - 170
Neddle Jet - 266
Neddle - No marking ?
Pilot Jet - 35
Start Jet - 45

As I read it, the Owners Doc. recommends:
Main Jet - 200 (I have a spare 185)
Neddle Jet - 266
Neddle - K35
Pilot Jet - 40 (I assume this is 0.40mm, so can I drill out a spare 35 to 40)
Start Jet - 45

I just need some assurance that the existing jets need to be improved on. I have also fitted (not run yet) an NGK CR8EIX Iridium plug in the hope that it will provide a stronger spark and improved start.

As always, your advice would be greatly appreciated - Thank you.

Cheers, Tony.
