Sense you guys seam to know everything Husaberg here is a question. I snaped my throttle cable today on my 1998 600. My question is I can probably get a new one from motoexotica in California, but does anybody know if KTM cables work or even any Jap Bike throttle cables may work. I have no problem ordering it but i would be nice to get one locally so I could keep on testing my carb settings tommorow.

Head on down to your local bicycle repair shop and get a new inner and some lugs and rewire it, easy job with a little solder.

It would probably be quicker to get it from http://offroadboss.com/ in Portland, OR. Another option would be to call Motosports in Boise (208-375-5660) - Bob used to sell Husabergs and may still have some parts. I just checked and Moto Tech in Boise (208-376-8324) is the current Husaberg dealer. Rick, at Offroad Boss, would be the likliest place to find one as he has probably the largest stock of Husaberg parts in this part of the country and you would get the part in 1-2 days.

Thanks for the advise, I called offroadboss and they had the cable and shipped it yesturday. Seams like a great place to get parts for the older Husabergs.

Rick, the owner, bought all the Husaberg parts inventory from KTM of Gresham (the previous Husaberg dealer in the Portland area) and they had a lot of parts. I bought my first Husaberg from them in the mid-90s and everytime I needed anything they had it in stock. Rick is very knowledgable about the older Husabergs and I believe he told me he worked as a mechanic for KTM of Gresham back when they sold Husabergs.
