Hello, im new to the page, and i am the new owner of a 1997 husaberg fe600e supermoto built on supermotojunkies.com. i bought the bike barley running, backfiring and loss of power before half throttle, basically to make a long story short i figured out my flywheel and stator are bad, the previous owner said the stator bolts werent tightened and it caught up on the flywheel. So ive been looking for a flywheel and i cant fond one, my question is, is there somewhere i can get a flywheel or is there one that is compatable through ktm, or husky? Thanks for any reply, id love to get this thing on the road and anything helps.

i'm going to bet that the flywheel is OK. it is the stator.....

they can suffer those pre '99s. I have found that the ignition timing was wrong, the tappets were wrong, the carb was completely phuqed and they had basically kicked the shi* out of them!!!!

I do some videos on the pre 2000s on my Faceboook page. Ned is right, my tickover was too high and this altered the ignition timing, luckily it was still correct.
6d BTDC at a lower idle = correct
7d BTDC on a higher idle = the above plus a few revs.

I was told by a previous owner that the flywheel, stator and regulator were bad when he sold it to the guy i got it from

you need to stop whinging fella. and you are whinging.

send your flywheel and stator to me here in the UK and I will test them on my 1998. I charge £30 which is about $45 plus about $15 home OK? if the stator is faulty then there is no charge for this service but you pay for the repair instead.

then we can put all this to bed can't we?
