Hi Guys,
Am just in the final throws of completing a ground up rebuild of a FE/FC 501 and need help with the most basic of queries, what is the orange wire on the SEM oil for ...... can it be used for a kill switch connection?
The SEM Stator has Red, Black and Green female bullet connectors and yellow and blue female spade connectors, while the SEM Coil has Red, Black, Green and an Orange male bullet connector.
I am not wiring for lights etc. so logic would tell me Yellow and Blue connectors are redundant and that the Red, Black and Green male/female bullet connectors connect together - can someone please confirm for my peace of mind.
Now, what about the Orange wire with male bullet connector from the Coil ???
I am running a push button type kill switch (two wires) so am I correct in assuming one can connect to the orange wire and the other to earth.
Pretty basic stuff but the bike was in bits when I bought it so did not see layout prior to dismantling, so just need some learned advice.
Thank you.
Cheers, Tony.
