Hi everyone, my name is Chris & I am addicted to Bikes............

My real problem is that i bought a 1992 FE350 that requires a conrod kit. the dimensions are

overall length 167mm
width small end 18.8mm
width big end 18.8mm
big end Id 37mm
pin Od 30mm
pin length 60.90mm
small end Id 18mm
center to center 124.67 mm

these are the best dimensions that i can get off the old rod. failing which i have a 1985 husky wr250 liquid cooled motor which should fit but i would like to keep it standard. I have a number of old Husky's and believe the next step in the development for my collection is the berg

any help would be appreciated
thanks Chris

Hi

Carillo can make a rod for you, basic carburised rod without their hardened big end insert for about $330

if you had access to enough technical data you could choose a rod and a piston from different bikes to make it work maybe with some machining

start at the bottom of this pro-x catalog I see a yamaha rod almost right

http://www.pro-x.com/downloads/technical.pdf

or if you like parting with extra money you can wait to see if someone finds one in the rusty spam tin under the couch, if you had $580 you might be able to buy one :D :D

good luck
Cheers
Bushie

another approach

change the crank to suit a specific rod
