hello.

i was planning to get my older rim (BEHR) onto a 2001 upside down fork on my 650.

As i can see the inner diameter of the bearing in the front wheel is 17mm, and the axel in the fork is 20mm.

is it possible to change the bearing to a 20mm inner diameter?
maybe theres a kit for that swap?

And a question about the front tyre, what is the biggest tyre and wheel you can fit on this fork? (17" supermotard rim)

hi again.

now my plan is to machine down the wheel bearing seat 2mm, so it can be fittet with a bearing who is D42 d20 w12.

now my question is, is there someone out there who can say wich spacers that should go on?

its an 2001 upside down fork.

i,m planning to machine the spacers my self. så the size of the spacers would be great:):)

or a way to find out the spacers measurements from scratch.

I would think that your existing spacers would already suit your axle? I take it that you have machined your hub to suit the bigger bearing you already had? If i have got it wrong from your explanation then it still should only be a matter of measuring to find out what you need. Alternatively, you can look up what bearing sizes are available from different manufacturers, you may just find something that suits your needs at a reasonable cost. Bike manufacturers buy bearings from bearing manufacturers, not many ( if any) make their own! Sometimes you can be surprised what is available directly from a manufacturer that will suit your need! Good luck with your build!

yes i have found a great bearing that will fit if i machine the hub a little bit.

But for the spacers i have lost the ones for the 20mm axle.
if someone have the lenght of the spacers or som tolerances that should be inbetween spacers, wheel, fork and so on it would be great, the diameters i figure out self.
