The last ride was good and my 06 FS650 ran well. I had been meaning to check the Camchain tensioner so I did so today. At 147 hrs it's maxed out on the last click.
Its a good thing I checked it and I also have an IWIS 70 I got from Taffy waiting to go in.
This will be the second time for me. I changed my 05 650 Camchain at 105hrs. It had 2 clicks left.
I wound it in and will do the same with this one. Hope it goes just as well as the last . I just took my time slowly hoisting the old chain out as the new went in.
While I'm there I will inspect Cam Follower bearings and set the valves upon finishing.
Then use 515 as a sealant for the rocker cover.

Your getting the most hours out everything around here Idle. :showoff:

.....and rides it like a girl's blouse I reckon!

come on and be honest IDLE: bed early no alcohol, no late nights, no womanising, beauty sleep, speed limit and going to live to 105!

of course, it could be in your name.............................

I don't mean to be a one-upper.
It's was just a good bike in so many ways.

Never did new fork seals, used a seal mate to wipe the grit out a couple times though.
No wheel/swingarm/steering bearings either.

The supermoto wheels have 26,000 miles on them on two 650's and a stint with the 550 engine in the FS chassis.

I think the trick to making wheel bearings last is to only wash your bike every other solstice.

really miss the berg, and tired of speaking of it in the past tense.

Been thrashing on a 91 DR350, and managing to keep up with the supermotos until the straights.

The poor throttle cable stretches a bit every ride from being up against the stop.
