The bike backfires steadily and heats up quickly. Header pipe orange after 20 seconds.

Thanks. I did both filters and cleaned injector. Will try tps. Problem started with stalling and slowly got worse. First thought was filter and injector.
Could it be a timing issue.

Who knows, maybe? But the probability of that is so much lower than the TPS sensor knocked out of position (quite easy). Ignition timing is set in the ECU, the sensor shouldn't move that easy, and can wrong timing heat up the header like that?
No answers from me, just words.... But check TPS first and if that wasn't the problem hopefully more cunning people can help you find the problem
