Just a happy report.
I have 101h on my 501 -99 after total rebuild now and it`s still going strong with no problems and it`s 12 months since the rebuild so now my old bikes engine has his 1 year birthday!
Starting easy with the carb jetted with smaller PJ and SJ, first or second kick even cold and half kick when warm ;-)
Had mine stator rewounded by Sparks but have not tested it yet so perhaps is starts with a half kick cold and warm with a hard look at the kickstarter with Sparks stator.
