09 Fuel line disconnector

Last Sunday I managed to break the plastic fuel line disconnect (the male side) that is located on the fuel line between the tank and the fuel injection. This is an '09 FE450. I saw on the JustGasTanks site that they have a connector that looks very much like the same one I have on the bike. Is it the same, or what are the differences, and if it is different where is the best (cheapest) place to get a replacement. I actually am thinking of getting two with the extra to keep in my tool bag.

Thanks,

Jim

G'day Jim,
I have done the same thing as you, broke the male fuel line connector.
Only I was 1200klms from home and stuck stranded up **** creek (Cockatoo ck) with no paddle. Just my tie downs, tools, some superglue and a nail file.

While I waited for my dad to work out that I wasn't going to meet him where we were supposed to, I worked on my broken connector. By gluein the little whitle springloaded thing and the black fuel line connector back together. I had three goes at this before I gave up. just didn't work.

I ended up using a piece of copper tubing i pilfered from an old aircon unit I found in Bamaga. Full bushmechanic style. Mcgyver would be proud of me.

I still have a blocked fuel filter, where can ya buy a new one.

here is the fuel filter kit http://www.mototech.com.au/oem-parts.ph ... Type=FRAME. A bit cheaper than my local dealer here in north QLD.

Get yourself a profill filler neck filter when you change the inline filter and never have a drama again. There is a cross reference out the for the inline filter but I was told by a dealer that the plastic fuel line is an issue so better off to go with the oem kit (they are working on a aftermarket kit that costs less)

Another member uses a can am quad bike external inline filter that splices in where the connector is.

Speaking of fuel line connectors, what is the best method used to drain fuel out of the bike on the 09-11 bergs? I've searched it and couldn't find anything. Thanks...

Anyone know of a stockist in the UK for the ProFill fuel filters? Their inet sales seem to be down at the moment while they are moving pemises.
