09 FE570 What's the wattage output?

Hey All,

I came across this thread when looking for the answer to "can I start this thing if my battery dies?"

I'm going to Moab this spring and will be up to 100 miles away from home at times. I'm going to get the new LiPo battery before then so hopefully I will never need to find out but I am curious if the bike will fire with zero battery power. (2011 FE570S)

Not sure if the answer is in this thread or not. If anyone can say for sure, please jump in here. My guess is that it won't start without at least enough battery to pressurize the fuel injector system.

I think I'm settled on the Shorai battery. Anyone vouch for these in the Husabergs? Any reason to go another brand?

All the best...

In a word NO, no power = no go,

yes power is need to run the fuel pump

Super B are a great alternative to the Shorai, go for the 5200 and have twice the grunt in a battery thats lighter

I parked the bike up after a ride the other Sunday and left the heated grips turned on for a whole week (they're connected direct onto the battery). Came to start the bike and nothing. Less than 7 volts from the battery. The heated grips turn themselves off when they sense a low battery but it was enough to render the bike unstartable. The bike will NOT bump start with a battery this low. The FP will not cycle. Jump started it from the car and took it out for the usual 3 hour Sunday ride and all now appears OK. The battery charged and has held it over the last week so looks like I may have got away with it.
