I still have about 2 months before I purchase my next bike (hopefully the 570), so I am finding out as much as I can now.

Who has opted for the Acprovic pipe for their 570 and what do they think ?

Have you tried the Acprovic on your bike and the standard pipe ??

It's a lot of extra bucks to fork out, so unless there is a marked difference in performance and smoothing out the power delivery, it may be better to stick with the standard pipe ?

Once the Acprovic pipe is fitted is there any hinderance or access problems because of the pipe ??

Don't buy the Acro or any pipe, if you can ride the 570 to it's full you would have to have the BIGGEST BALLS on earth.

:D :D :D :D Fair enough statement ...... In the past I have never bothered with after market pipes unless the change was beneficial to the bikes overall performance. I feel that 95% of riders don't use all the power they have anyway.

It's more about the sound it makes for me when you get to a big bike like this. Sure, you can open up the standard exhaust but that usually results in a harshly loud sound that pisses off the neighbours and your riding buddies as well as decreasing the power...... thats why I would look aftermarked.

If you haven't already got a pipe, with the $ the way it is you can get an FMF 4.1 Titanium pipe delivered from the U.S. for $500....

The stock can sounds okay, although muted. For a dirt bike I ride in the woods, this is the way I want it.

I was pleasantly surprised at the tone of the stock silencer on a thumper - usually they don't sound so smooth.

It would be even better if the intake wasn't so loud, but I guess there isn't much I can do about that and I don't notice it when riding trails.

Have an Agropovic silencer/ spark arrestor on my 09 570 and it really improves the mid range power...not just more but better...sound is easy on the ears...also helps pulling a taller gear!

Agree with ragman on this. i got a new Akro off Ebay (the old style - not the carbon tip one) for very very good money. I do not find the noise as loud as my 450EXC with similar pipe and that maybe because it does help it pull the taller gear and is not revved as hard. I still find enough grunt to loft the front in any gear if i find an obstacle. The stock pipe leaves you with a little more to do in those circumstances.

I put the Akro on my 09 570 for the simple reason that the stock unit was not stamped with USFS approved spark arrestor, and thus was not a legal spark arrestor.

I have never run the stock pipe, but I can tell you the Akro is quite a bit lighter than the stock unit. And the Akro has a really nice sound to it, and still blew an 88 db at sound test before an enduro. No regrets purchasing it.

I am going to just stamp mine. The stock cap on it with the insert works as a spark arrester just fine.

DaleEO, not to mention the Akro is a 10 on the Bling scale!

Yes! quite right! And I forgot to mention that the box the Akro comes in weighs more than the muffler!!

Ditto totally agree, very happy with my feather weight carbon Akro
