09 FE570 - Engine run / shutdown issue

I seem to have an electrical issue causing the engine to shut down after starting. The battery is fully charged - checked, start the engine - runs for approx. 3 seconds and then shuts down like the kill switch is activated. does this until the battery runs flat. I have just finished installing all the wiring harness and sub frame - aint that a crap job!. All connections had electrical grease applied to prevent any moisture ingress. and all the harness checked for wear and damage.
The engine cuts as if the kill switch is used. starts fine - then 2-3 seconds the engine seems to shut down electronically

Any suggestions to where I start?.

Hi John

No fault codes - but I hooked up a 12v jump pack and it ran ok - could a battery low voltage out put be enough to stop the EFI working and shut down ?

Yes. My neighbour had a similar problem with a ktm500 that had an old battery.
It seems you need a new battery. More costly than a broken wire but much more simple than getting out the loom looking for a short :)

Had almost same problem two days ago. Problem were caused by two wires from rear side of the gas/petrol tank. The were welded into exhaust pipe.
I know, that proper wiring and cable routing is not easy job :).
Try to use another battery.

If it won't help:

Check wires that are close to exhaust on the right side(look for overheated plastics)
Start the engine without neccessary circuits(blinkers, front/rear light etc).
Next connect circuit by a circuit(rear light, front light, blinkers, etc)
