what is the fix for this issue?2010 part or aftermarket item like Dirt Tricks tensioner?

I know some have sorted these, and others have problems. I have no personal experience, but I cought up with Carl at Cafe Racer recently for a chat and he has experienced ongoing problems with them and is now supplying is own manufactured tensioners. He is a good guy and did a wonderful job tuning my 650.

I caught my cam chain rattling twice so I replace the tensioner with a Dirt Tricks unit and have had no further problems.

piece of cake...just put one in my 09 570...Dirt Tricks, spring activated not oil pressure like oem...just pull cover off tensioner and then loosen and remove the tensioner itself...the tricky part is installing the retracted DT tensioner without it sliding to its full length because of the gravity issues of the forward pointed cylinder and the tensioner wanting to slide to full extension..solution, lay bike on its side and perform removal and installation and your done...instructions are self explanatory and procedure takes all of 5 minutes...
