09 450 cold running problems

09 fe450 with approx 100hrs on it.
bit of a mare to start from cold, sounding like fueling issue?
and hesitant to tick over without throttle for the first minute or so and drops out without any warning now and again?

any ideas please, ive not had the bike for long, trying to get my head around the big update from an 05 exc450!

i never had any problems with my 09 450 but you can pull the choke up when cold to start the bike, you pull the tick over knob.
And when Ive cleaned the bike i fire it up without the air filter in and used to spray a little fuel injection cleaner fluid into the injector, it would splutter and cough a little, then run fine i did this after every ride and at around 180 hours was still fantastic,always check the coolant level before every ride, they do boil up easy but a great bike m8

A friend has a 09 450 that had the same starting problems, Turned out that the injector needed cleaning, no problem once that was done. :bounce3:
