08 FE550 - Fuel range and tank options

Hi All-

I know its a bit of a long shot, but I am looking for ways to extend the fuel range for rally on my 08 FE550 beyond what I get from my Clarke tank. Does anybody have any tanks available, or other good solutions?

What kind of range do you get from your clarke tank in mixed sand/hard pack desert rally?

You can look for a used under seat tank good for 3/4 gallons. As far as mpg it really depends on how hard you ride. I figured my 550 was good for 175 miles with the clark and under seat tank installed while dual sporting.

I have an Ex dakar rallye aluminium tank for you that was fitted on a FE650 (2008) and an underseat tank.
This will get you onwards of 28 Ltr or 7.5 gallons of fuel.

In my Berg Fe550e I have a clarke fuel tank 15 l. Range about 250 km.
