So after looking @ all the motards I really have my eye on the berg .Do any of you owners regret having one ? Im positive I would lose my *** on resale but I would like to pick one up if the concensus says yeah .

Thanks for any input

if you reside in aust , there is a FS 650E 06 for sale . the sunday times in w.a has a FS in the motor cycle column for a lazy $9900.00

this bargain has only 800 klms on it .

The least you could do is tell us what you intend to use it for...

I love mine and have no regrets, although I opted to get a "C" model and added lights for the rare occasion I venture onto the street. IMO there is no better supermoto bike available out of the box right now. I do not wish for an Aprilia, Japanese dirt bike, Husky, or anything else. This thing is simple, fast, and easy to work on. What more could you want?

1 .. your bike looks awesome - just parked there
2 .. the fluid catch unit looks effective
3.. i don't know about the fishbowl on yer ed , i think the mx helmet would be the go 8)

I plan on mostly to use it for a daily commuter & a bike to ride @ deals gap.I live just 14 miles from there so it will get alot of time there. I have never been passed by a motard there but I think I could ride a motard thru there quicker than my k6 gixxer 750

We can fix that. ;) btw, a buddy of mine also has a 650c and lives near the Gap. PM khelton on supermotojunkie. I am sure he would be more than happy to tell you all about the bike...in person. He also loves his, but wishes for a sidestand  I told him that's what all those trees up there are for...

I have seen him @ the gap & thats where I got my first look at the berg . I have been trying to get ahold of longs to get one but I have not heard from them yet.

oh yeah I did not get passed buy him that day either . Not sure that was the guys name but if he keeps it looking brand new & rides it hard it was him.

drgnrydr,

Being in the area, I might be able to point you in the direction of a deal (not a promise)

Smith Powersports recently dropped their Husaberg dealership status, and the last time I went in their (a few months ago), they had some demos and one new bike sitting in the back (by the offices and ski-doo boat thingies). Charles was against dropping the price when we talked to him, in spite of the fact that they were no longer new models, and there is no longer a dealer within small passenger plane flying distance, but maybe over the course of time he's decided otherwise..... if they're still there at all.

I don't visit there often, so I'm not sure the status of them, but it would be cool if one of the local guys got in on a Berg on the cheap :)

thanks,
