Having trouble starting with the Estart.
Will kick after 4 or so kicks but wont start with e starter. when cold takes about 10 - 15 kicks.
Im quessing my exhaust valve is miles out. If it is not the Exhaust valve do the Starter upgrades found in the manual still work with the 07 model? cause my starter still runs its like it doesnt spin fast enough to start the bike. You hear the motor trying to start it just wont start.
Oh and its like my bike is flooding really easily. i dont know enough to understand the carby bit of the manual! haha.
Any help is appreciated!

does it make any difference if you have the hot start out. Make sure you don't open the throttle more than a little if that.

Greetings and welcome to the site,

First off when was the last time you adjusted your valves?

Most of the 07's start fine on the button cold, however, you should use the kick starter when the bike is cold.

Second, do you keep a battery tender on your battery? Is it the stock battery too?

And finally did it start okay up til now?

Yeah it did start ok up till now
the valves were way way way out so let this be a lesson to everyone.
Always maintain your bike my valves would probably 10-15 hours overdue so yeah. also it helped with a brand new air filter. the other one was old and clean but it looked like it had to much oil on it?
i know alot of racers around here just spray canola oil on thiers any reason why this is bad?
Fairly dusty here in Aus

I don't know about canola oil, but, I use No Toil and it works very well.

Glad to hear that you got it sorted then?

when the valves are way way out, it would be wise to check the cam follower bearings

If I may............ Scotty,

Can you clarify by what you mean by "way out" were they tight or loose?

I know this is a really old post, but anyone know what the resolution was? I recently picked up a 2006 that when cold sounds like it is spinning, but not engaging/turning over well. It often takes a couple presses of the button for it to engage well, crank over and fire up. When warm I THINK it is better, though I've really only ridden it once or twice.

I just adjusted the valves and get the same result. The valve clearance seemed like zero as I couldn't get any feeler in there, but after doing the 1/6th turn technique I still couldn't get the feeler in until I really tried so I think that was just me?

1) bad autodecomp spring
2) bad torque limiter
3) bad sprague
the last two can be tested by pulling the left cover and watching them (hold the decomp in place) and seeing which one is slipping

Just remember Husaberg considers this a re-starter and you should not use the e-start cold. Learn to kick it cold. When using it hot I like to pull in the manual decompression lever to help get it started spinning. After it starts spinning I release the decomp lever and away she goes. Saves wear and tear on all the starting system components (all of which are expensive).

A weak decomp spring would be my bet, if it starts to turn over when applying the manual decomp lever you have found your problem. Where are you located in OZ im the go to fix man for most pre 70 Degree Husaberg owners here in the great hot land down under.
