Hi all,

I have heard that the 07 Berg will have major changes. This is coming from a marketing source though and some have complained the 06 was not changed enough.

I don't want to wait, I want to know what the changes are that have been referred to, does anyone know?

fuel injection?
fuel tank in middle on top of motor that fuel injection would allow.
lighter weight?

what else could it be????

If they re-introduce motocross version and lighter weight, I will
place a deposit on one now . A 250 version would be nice for my
boys youth division .

i would like to see a berg model just a little bit 'softer 'than the currant bikes available .

more comfortable , and less on the technical edge but still retain the character of the husaberg heritage . still be light but
also handle and steer reasonably well .

just for those who don't need to go wfo , but can't lower themselves to the dr-xr scene .

i must be getting old

been there done that and came back. A berg still goes good even slow. You dont HAVE to go wfo but wtf, its nice to be able to once in a while...........

And when you scare yourself you know you may be old but still alive.

Last surgeon was a new one as my old one retired ( I had 11 with him but must have worn him out) told me that I should act my age and watch NASCAR. HAHA I'd rather go at 55 going 90 than at 70 sitting on the couch in my own poop

Maybe niche marketing, we've recently seen public acknowledgement of a 380 and 496. Maybe Hbg is taking direct aim at the gncc market dominated by 250 2T's or maybe at the worcs series dominated by 450f mx bikes? Also note that the WEC bikes are very mx based, I'm sure that this has not gone unnoticed by Hbg (and BMG). What is the common theme??? Light weight, responsive, and manuverable.

my berg came with a dial-adjustment on the right handlebar. if i turn it a little, the bike is a complete pussycat. the easiest to bike to ride that i've ever been on. if i turn it alot, well, i'd best be pointed in the direction i want to go, because i'll be going that way in a big hurry.

My dealer tells me that he has no hard information re 07 models, but if he were to bet he would be on EFI for 07 and MAJOR changes for 08.

Steve

Maybe in 07 we will find out if Polaris is planning on keeping Husaberg around at all

Anyone hear anything yet?

07 ??....make it a FS 550 with FI...and lose that crappy heady pipe.....ok maybe all carbon fiber as well......did someone say a 250.... :D

Last time I was to visit the guys at R&D they didn't let me in
Normally they are friendly and invites you but not this time, I did get into the hallway 'cause of the rain but that was it. "Sorry, not beyond this point this time" they said while I could here some machining going on in the background...
Don't wanna get your hopes up to much but something is cooking in there. We'll soon see :D

hey velo baby

what i am getting at is this , any berg works the best when ridden flat knacker .

now a berg ridden at full noise can be un-nerving at times .

i would like to see more of a docile power delivery for us older
gents [ i am 60 ]

you say , buy a dr then , i say why should i they are blank.[edit ]

Ok what about what we don't want to see come out of the R&D:

1. Pit bikes
2. Quads
3. Choppers

What else?

Slipper clutch out of the box YES
Lighter Bikes ! YES
50 mm Forks YES
Reintroduce FC line YES

FC model with F.I. & E-Start NO
Blue Fuel Tanks NO

Expanded force parts line for racers !

i would like to see

a decent security system developed , the ignition can be bypassed real quick

just to prevent the BERGerlers snatching our weapons :2gunfire:

Seriously, this wouldn't tickle your heiny?

A 1,500 mile tour on the back of a Husa-Hog wouldn't interest you?

Picture is cool , However I would prefer R&D time be spent on race
oriented ventures and not diversifying into other areas of motorcycling .
Let KTM BMW & Triumph have that market . What next " RETRO BERG "
styled in shadows of a 1960's BSA . Can't wait to see the picture of that.
I guess even if I had to strip a 990 adventure down to run supercross
I'd do it 'cause you guys are to much fun to not own a berg even it is like
a dinosaur with sticks and bones for accessories .

I'll have to get to work on the "retro berg" image. Wouldn't that look a lot like a Husky?

We'll let Photoshop do this R&D and Husaberg do the real race machine fine-tuning. :D

I might have to buy a KTM Adventure and give it a paint job... that ended up looking nice.

Here is a 66 BSA 441 Victor picture for you!
