I need some input on super motard wheels. I have a customer that is looking for something that I have had no experience with.
First will the super motard wheels in the '07 Husaberg Accessory Catalog go on the FE650 (is there enough clearance)?
Second, there is a second set of motard wheels that have a rubber damper on them -- what is the advantage to the damper?
This guy is not going to race this bike he is just going to use to commute on mountain roads and for trail riding.
Finally, what type of tires should I recommend for these wheels?
Sorry, I'm so naive, but we are a dirt bike shop...don't deal much with Super Motard.
Thanks for any help!

RE:

THe wheels will fit, the damper takes some of the power pulses out of the drive ( japanese bikes have the dampened clutch basket as well ). Long term its better on the trans and a must in my opinion. As far as tires I can't help you there.

keep well and see you in month

My FE has been converted to SM, the dampened hub is a good thing as stated above but not necessary if it won't be ridden very hard IMO.
Mine has a 4.25" rim with dampened hub in back and 3.5" in front. The stock FS450/650 E models come with Michelin Pilot Powers which work great. Most people go with a 150/60 tire on a 4.25" rim and 160/60 tire on a 5" rim but I'm running a 160 on a 4.25" without any problems.
Good luck.
Lou.
